Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT IS COACHING?

Coaching is a non-directive (you won't be told what to do) and non-judgemental form of personal development. Your coach is here to ask you the right questions, and offer insight to help you find solutions to your trickiest challenges and opportunities.

HOW DO I FIND THE RIGHT COACH?

Finding the right coach is hugely important. The quality of your relationship with your coach will be one of the biggest factors in having a successful coaching experience.

It can be tempting to look for a coach with similar experience to yourself - whether that's industry, career path or challenges overcome. But stop for a second. Would you look for a personal trainer who's the same age and weight as you? Or a therapist who's been through the same challenges? The answer is "probably not".

What's important in a coaching relationship is how well you connect with your coach, how honest and open you feel you can be, and how well your communication styles compliment each other. Good coaches will offer you a no-obligation 'chemistry session' to meet, see how you click, and talk about what you want from coaching.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

To get the best out of coaching, you need to have a genuine desire to develop yourself and be open to change. If you don't feel ready to show up authentically, honestly and with an open mind, you'd be better holding off on investing the time and money until you do.

HOW DOES COACHING WORK?

Typically we would co-design a coaching programme that broadly follows the below format (we would discuss and agree this based on your personal needs):

  • Free initial chemistry session to ensure we both feel able to work together (up to 60 mins)

  • A contracting session where we agree the duration of the coaching programme and spend the session really diving into what you want out of the programme (~90 mins)

  • The remainder of the coaching sessions, usually 12 (~90 mins each)

Ordinarily we would meet every 4 weeks, depending on the objectives we identify, and the pace at which you want to work.

It's unlikely, but if coaching doesn't work for you, there's no obligation to continue. You can stop at any time, without being tied into finishing or paying for the remaining sessions.

DO YOU WORK WITH INTERNATIONAL CLIENTS?

Absolutely. I've had recent clients as far afield as the USA, UAE and Australia. Please note though that all coaching is provided in English.

HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?

  • Initial no obligation conversation - Free.

  • Subsequent 90 minute coaching sessions - £500/$625.

  • Business/group package rates are available.
